With over 60 years of experience in metal finishing, Sun Polishing offers all industry standard decorative metal finishes, in addition to a variety of custom options available, and our industry-leading Gold Plating process.

Custom Plating

To serve our clients, we also offer nearly infinite variations on the standard finishes giving you total control to create a wide range of custom finishes to suit your needs. We’re also able to custom design a process to meet specific requirements.

Electroplated colour options can be finished as Bright Polished or Brushed Satin, and topcoated in gloss, satin or matte lacquers. Custom lacquer sheens to match your requirements are available.

Gold Plating

This finish is offered to the metal fabrication industry for fixtures, furniture and lighting for consistent colour control and lasting protection. 

Other projects of artists and property renovators will also find this finish very useful. Gold plate offers an extremely consistent colour rendition and requires no lacquer top coat and so the object is free from any possible lacquer artifacts or blemishes.

Base Metals

A quality plating process and finish require properly prepared base metal for our plating finishes. Sun has six decades of experience working with our clients to produce excellent finishes.

Sun Polishing also specializes in plating stained glass items - these unique and fragile pieces require the utmost in care, preparation, and precision process.

Vapour Degreasing

A specialized technique employed before plating, Vapour Degreasing ensures your sensitive parts are completely free of surface contaminants that may otherwise prevent a successful plated finish.

Sun Polishing & Plating offers a complete line of pre-production belting, brushing and polishing in addition to post-production relieving and buffing. Our experience in metal plating and finishing means we understand the importance of the base metal’s condition prior to plating.
