Base Metals
In any plating operation it is important to ensure that the base metal
being plated will be appropriately treated in the production chemistry
so as to obtain a properly bonded and enduring quality finish. At
Sun, we have over 45 years of experience in plating the following
substrates:
- Mild steel
- Low carbon steel
- Copper and its alloys (such as Brass and Bronze)
- Zinc (or white metal, die cast, slush cast and Zamac 3 alloy)
- Lead (leaded stained glass items are a specialty!)
- Nickel
- Cast Iron
- Tin
